My duties at Springboard
Consulting Inc. consist of a wide range of managerial
and financial responsibilities. Springboard Consulting
Inc. is an educational consulting business that advises
students and professionals on how to reach academic
and career goals. In addition, the business rents apartments
to a variety of professionals who use their services.
My responsibilities include negotiating both service
and personnel contracts as well as personnel contracts
along with their periodic evaluation and review. Included
in my duties in this area is conducting research into
our competition in the market place. Using the market
research, I developed and implemented a strategic business
plan to increase our overall financial success.
In creating a strategic
plan, I also designed the appropriate implementation
strategies for these programs. These projects also require
the design of a budget. My responsibilities here include
the allocation of funds for each project. I also am
required to access and provide all resources needed
to generate the greatest return on investment. Project
management is one of my greatest skills. The ability
to research, strategize, and monitor a project has lead
to my advancement within the organization. I have managed
a total of nine large programs with direct control from
start to finish.
Included in the challenges
of being a manager is the responsibility of hiring and
firing employees. To reduce the tension created through
firings, I have devised quarterly evaluations of the
employees performance that help correct mistakes before
these impact the organization. Therefore, in thorough
hiring evaluations as well as continuous performance
evaluations, employees are more likely to be successful
and firings significantly reduced.
My duties at Springboard
Consulting Inc. also entail the creation of marketing
material for promotion use, including the design of
a marketing strategy focusing on our target market.
I have also provided personal coaching services to help
upper management understand and achieve organizational
goals. Working for a small company has provided me with
the opportunity to have a wide variety of responsibilities
and to be continually educated about new and innovative
strategies meant to increase the companies overall profits.
